How do we be still in a fast-moving world? How do we know God, and what does it mean to know that He is GOD?

Let’s tackle this one step at a time.
BE STILL
Being still is an active choice; it is recognising that prayer isn’t all about you. It is making the choice to listen to God and not allow your thoughts to run rampant in your mind.
BE STILL AND KNOW
This involves stillness with a focus. What are you focusing on?
BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD
Our focus should be on God and His character. Do you know His character? Do you stop and still yourself long enough to find out? Are you giving Him the honour He deserves?
In Revelation 4:9-11, we see the four living creatures and elders constantly worshipping God and laying down their authority before the One who lives forever and ever. They declare His holiness and that He is worthy of all glory, power and honour:

Do you believe He is holy? Do you believe He is worthy of all praise, power, honour, and glory? Do you seek Him with your whole heart? Do you worship Him in Spirit and in truth? Do you know the character of the God to whom we pray?
Be still.
This is who God is; consider whether you just know or truly believe these things:
He is the God who sustains us and gives us life (Matthew 4:4).
He is the God who is perfect in all things (Matthew 5:48).
He is the God who sees you (Matthew 6:6).
He is the Author of forgiveness (Matthew 6:14-15).
He is the God who provides and cares for you (Matthew 6:26, 31-33).
He is the good Father who gives good gifts (Matthew 7:9-11).
He is the God who prepares His people and sends workers for the harvest (Matthew 9:37-38).
He is the God who gives us His Spirit freely (Matthew 10:16-20).
He is the God who is powerful and mighty, but values you and loves you (Matthew 10:28-33).
He is the God who reveals His kingdom to those who come to Him with child-like faith (Matthew 11:25-26).
He is the God who welcomes you into His family (Matthew 12:50).
He is the God who wishes that nobody should perish, but that all should know Him and be saved (Matthew 18:12-14).
This is but a glimpse of who God is. If you don’t know Him in these ways, you can! Be still and listen. Sit in His presence, and invite Him to be with you.
God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude
A river brings joy to the city of our God,
the sacred home of the Most High.
God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
From the very break of day, God will protect it.
The nations are in chaos,
and their kingdoms crumble!
God’s voice thunders,
and the earth melts!
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude
Come, see the glorious works of the Lord:
See how he brings destruction upon the world.
He causes wars to end throughout the earth.
He breaks the bow and snaps the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honoured by every nation.
I will be honoured throughout the world.”
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude
